Crowns, Bridges & Veneers

100% Australian made crowns, bridges, and veneers

All our lab technicians are in Australia and complete their work in-house.

At Ashmore Dental, our team of dentists are highly experienced and wherever possible, we’ll always try to save a tooth from extraction. Loss of a tooth (or teeth) doesn’t just affect a person’s look. it can have a negative impact on the structure of the face, chewing, and even speech. Thankfully, there are many solutions available that we can use so that people can keep their natural teeth and retain full functionality. Some of these solutions are crowns, bridges, and veneers.

A crown is used to save a protect a damaged tooth, usually from some type of trauma, decay or to help restore a heavily filled tooth. It is also used sometimes after a Root Canal Treatment to strengthen a tooth once the pulp has been removed.

A bridge is anchored to the natural teeth on either side of a gap of a single tooth or a few missing teeth. Both bridges and crowns are made from porcelain and gold alloy for strength, hardness, and stain resistance.

Both crown and bridges are made from an ‘impression’ of your teeth which your dentist will make and send to a dental technician to make. A second visit to the dentist is required to adjust and fit the crown or bridge in place using a special type of cement. Bridges and crowns are fitted to be permanent and should feel as comfortable as your natural teeth.

Veneers are a means to mask minor unsightly defects on your teeth, and can be done with either porcelain or resin. The latter options are often referred to as bonding. Both procedures may use resin to bond with the natural teeth and cover stains and chips on your front teeth. On occasion, veneers/bondings can be done in a single visit. They are an affordable option when you’re still trying to achieve that great looking smile.
